Caring for your PROSKIN Paint Protection Film is simple. Follow the guidelines below to maintain optimum performance and appearance:
- After film installation, wait one week before washing the vehicle to allow proper adhesion of the film.
- If using a high-pressure washer, maintain a minimum distance of 60 cm (2 feet) from the edges of the film. Edge lifting caused by high-pressure washing is not covered under warranty.
- Keep your vehicle clean and wash it at least once every two weeks, and as soon as possible after exposure to rain, dirt, or contaminants.
- Avoid dry dusting the vehicle surface, as this may affect the self-healing properties of the film.
- Dirt or residue accumulation along edges should be cleaned periodically using a non-abrasive detailing clay bar or as recommended by the OEM.
- Apply ceramic spray sealant every 3 months to maintain gloss and protection.
- Do not use waxes.
- Avoid automatic or commercial car washes, especially those using hard brushes.
- After waxing, remove any wax residue along film edges using a clean, lint-free cloth.
- If the film appears dull due to environmental exposure, it may be professionally polished by OEM-authorized detailing personnel.
- Follow the vehicle maintenance guidelines provided by the OEM or authorized service center.
Proper care ensures long-term performance, clarity, and durability of your PROSKIN PPF.
